How young is too young for technology?

How young is too young for technology?
Kids have always enjoyed watching TV, playing video games, talk on the phone with Grampa/ma who are far away but now days they like the live videos like using laptop with web cam to see their family and say hi.
Teenagers use to get cell phones but now days kids age 8 already have cell phones and notepads. Is this ok?
Can this slow down kids creativity?
What is the benefit?
Will they learn better with technology in the classrooms or make it worst?

  1. Great questions! I have been wondering the same thing. I think that there is a possibility that it will slow down children's creativity. One benefit is that it makes the world easier. The down side is that it has made us lazier :(.

  2. Hopefully we'll have some answers for this. I have heard that technology can be a distraction. Will kids after Sesame Street be spoiled into always having to have something fun to do in order to be interested in learning?
